This privacy statement affirms Equestrian Connect, LLC’s firm commitment to privacy.
The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: equestrianconnect.com.
Equestrian Connect’s registration form requires account holders (i.e. users) to provide contact information (like their name and email address) and demographic information (like their zip code or age). Each account holder may also enter contact information and demographic information on the individuals they include in their account.
Equestrian Connect does not disclose account holder or member information to any other vendors or websites. We may selectively share data with horse show managers in order to provide benefits to our members.
Equestrian Connect will use customer contact information from the registration form and from account holder’s accounts to send emails about our company, horse shows, and other related topics that may be of interest to people entered into Equestrian Connect. Recipients may opt-out of receiving such emails, at any time, by checking the opt-out box in the emails they receive.
In addition, the name, city, state and USEF number for each person entered in the system is viewable by all other account holders. This information is public information and also available at the United States Equestrian Foundation (USEF) web site.
Equestrian Connect reserves the right to list the names of any account holder only in our marketing materials. We will not list the names of individuals entered by account holders. Account holders may request that their names not be listed in marketing materials by sending an email to info@equestrianconnect.com

Security
Equestrian Connect has multiple layers of security built into its website and database. First, it uses security socket layer (SLL) technology to protect the website by encrypting information to and from the site as it moves over the internet.
At the database level, the passwords are also encrypted and scrambled to prevent crawlers and hackers from gaining access. Lastly, there are only a few required fields, so members retain the ability to decide what information to store and share.
