Horse show manager committed to streamlining entry process for exhibitors.
Blenheim EquiSports announced today that exhibitors can now electronically submit their entries to Blenheim horse shows through Equestrian Connect.
Equestrian Connect is a web service for completing horse show entry forms online. Until now, exhibitors have been required to print, sign and mail the forms with payment.
Blenheim is the first show management company to accept entries electronically through Equestrian Connect. Robert Ridland commented, “We are committed to offering the best services to our exhibitors. We are getting hundreds of entries per show through Equestrian Connect. The natural next step is to give people the convenience of submitting entries electronically.”
Equestrian Connect is a two year old service with over 6,300 members that posts entry forms for over 800 USEF A/AA hunter/jumper shows nationally. The service was launched in California, has 2,500 Zone 10 members, and generates an average of 250 entries for each of the 120 California shows it posts.
Susie Hutchinson, of Susan Hutchison Stables in Temecula, CA, commented, “I started using Equestrian Connect last spring, and have been thrilled with the convenience it provides. Electronic entries will be even better. I look forward to submitting my entries for the Spring shows!”
Accepting entries online is made possible by a new service provided by Equestrian Connect to horse show managers. Show managers can now log on to the Equestrian Connect service to receive and review their entry information.
Equestrian Connect is available for a 45 day FREE trial. The trial doesn’t begin until the first entries are created. Once the trial is over, exhibitors have two pricing options: $49.99 for an annual subscription per horse, or $8.00 per entry form.
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR EXHIBITORS: Equestrian Connect is offering a new service in 2012 – electronic entries submission. Until now, Equestrian Connect members could complete entry forms online, but then had to print, sign and mail them in. This new option reduces the time and expense associated with printing, faxing, overnight delivery and mail.
The Blenheim Winter Classic, January 13-15, 2012, will be the first beta test of the new electronic submission process. To see a demo or register to become a member, go to equestrianconnect.com.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Equestrian Connect members can submit their entries electronically via equestrianconnect.com. Blenheim Winter Classic entry fees can be paid in two ways:
1) To receive Blenheim’s prepaid discount via Equestrian Connect, please add credit card information in your MyAccount under the credit card tab. During Step 2 of the entry process, you will select the credit card to apply for each horse.
2) Submit entries online through Equestrian Connect and bring payment to the Blenheim show office when you arrive.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Let Equestrian Connect make it easy for you
HITS is pleased to announce that Equestrian Connect will return to HITS as an Official Service Provider for the HITS Desert Circuit, HITS Arizona Winter Circuit and the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit for the third consecutive year .
Entry deadlines for the winter circuits are rapidly approaching and there is no faster way to complete entries for all HITS winter shows than Equestrian Connect. Equestrian Connect provides competitors the opportunity to complete their entry forms on-line. They simply click on the Equestrian Connect logo and link on the opening page of the HITS Thermal, HITS Arizona or HITS Ocala pages and the easy to follow, secure format will allow them to enter all of their horses. Last winter alone, approximately 2,800 HITS entry forms were completed using the Equestrian Connect on-line entry system.
Equestrian Connect uses the actual entry form from each horse show and provides a way to accurately complete and print personalized entry forms. The information is stored and can then be applied to any other horse show entry forms, making entries a simple and less time consuming task. With a few clicks of the mouse entries can be printed and mailed, hassle free. This in turn saves a significant amount of time during check-in, making Equestrian Connect an easy and reliable tool for everyone to use.
“I was introduced to Equestrian Connect last winter. I misread the due date on entries for the Thermal circuit and realized entries were due the next day. I was so grateful to find Equestrian Connect,” said Trainer Micca Henry from Winsome Farms in Colorado. “I was able to complete six weeks of entries for multiple horses on time. I have continued to use the service throughout the season for on time and neat entries.”
Barbara Phillips and Simone Coxe (owner of Mr. Whoopy, ridden by Duncan McFarlane to a second place finish in the 2011 Pfizer Million) are two innovative hunter/jumper exhibitors who after years of repetitively filling out entry forms conceived the idea of Equestrian Connect. Equestrian Connect is based in Menlo Park, California and is now available for over 800 USEF A and Jumper rated horse shows in zones 1-10 and select shows in Canada. Equestrian Connect offers a free 45-day trial period for new members so that they will be able to complete their HITS Winter Series entries quickly at no charge. At the conclusion of the trial period, Equestrian Connect offers an annual subscription, or a “pay as you go” service.
“At Ash Meadow Farm we use Equestrian Connect to enter all 18 of our horses. We started using it last year and now we use it for every show,” said Amanda Steege of Ashmeadow Farm in New Jersey. “I believe Equestrian Connect provides a great service to professionals and makes the entry process effortless.”

Entries for HITS Thermal close tomorrow, January 4, followed by HITS Arizona on January 17 and HITS Ocala January 18. The 2012 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit begins January 18 with two unrated weeks of competition, followed by seven consecutive weeks of A and AA rated competition from January 31 through March 18. Out west, the HITS Desert Circuit will get underway on Tuesday, January 24 and will run for three consecutive weeks until Sunday, February 12. After a short break, February 13 – 19, show jumping returns on Tuesday, February 21 and will continue until Sunday, March 11. The HITS Arizona Winter Circuit will also run six consecutive weeks of AA rated competition from February 1 through March 11.

WIHS Entries Made Easy
We are pleased to announce that we will be working, for the second year, with Equestrian Connect to streamline our entry process for both the WIHS Regional Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show this fall.
Because we both see the show from slightly different perspectives (as a show manager and a show secretary) we were pleased to see that the Equestrian Connect system worked so well last year. For us, it solves one of the show office’s major dilemmas — hard to read and often incomplete entries.
Equestrian Connect is a web service that provides exhibitors a quick and easy way to complete entry forms online, then print, sign and mail them to the show office.
Equestrian Connect was started by two horse show competitors on the West Coast in 2010 and is now a national service, with more than 4,500 participating people, and over 700 USEF shows posted on the site.
We are aware many of you already may be using their service in 2011. For those of you who are not yet using Equestrian Connect, we would like to encourage you to consider using their service for our shows. Their service is free for an introductory 90 days to provide you the opportunity to assess the service and benefit using it for other shows.
We both look forward to your support and making the entry process easier, faster and better for you, for us, and our industry. To learn more, you may go to the Equestrian Connect website at equestrianconnect.com.
Thank you for considering using the Equestrian Connect online entry system for the WIHS shows this fall.
